Glenn Dallas Gallery is a contemporary art gallery, located at 927 State St.
The gallery will always features a selection of local and regional works. We additionally represent national and international artists. Creative self expression and conscious globalism are the driving forces behind our concept.
Infinite Shades, the inaugural exhibition, is titled to represent humanity’s infinite perceptions of reality. Life, love and the pursuit of happiness are not always black & white. I’ve worked with regional artists Tom Pazderka and Dana Zurzolo to create a show that visually explores philosophy, ideology, history and social structure. Creative communication is complex. If things aren’t what they seem, take a second look.
As an analog photographer, the term Infinite Shades also represents the shades of grey possible when working in a darkroom. Hidden in a converted utility closet, the gallery features what I’ve deemed an “analog room.” This space will be utilized to showcase unique collections of video and photographic arts.
Currently featured in the analog room is a projected showcase titled Gods and Monsters. Lana del Rey’s Paradise plays on vinyl as guests click through a curated selection of my early black and white negatives, and collected vintage slides. Stop in to look and listen.
We are typically open Tuesday-Sunday, 11-7pm. Call or e mail for more info.
