REH Contemporary presents curator, Bonnie Rubinstein’s whimsical portraits by Kaoru Mansour, and 3D abstracts by Chenhung Chen, of LA; Also, local’s: Cats and dogs by Larry Vigon, Mike Blaha, Valori Fussel, Wrona Gall, Paola Lima and Hung Viet-Ngyuen. Introducing SALT + LIGHT, new paintings by Santa Barbara native Hilary Brock. A contemporary oil painter known for serene, light-filled landscapes inspired by the California coast and inland valleys, Brock turns her attention toward the water in SALT + LIGHT, introducing a new body of work inspired by a lifelong fascination with the way light moves across its surface.

In observance of October, Dyslexia Awareness Month, The Dyslexia Project presents "in/visible: 1 in 5 the Face of Dyslexia," a photographic exhibit featuring local individuals with dyslexia. The Project celebrates dyslexic strengths and addresses challenges, raises awareness, offers resources, and support for individuals with dyslexia—and those who love them.

Bernard Trainor’s Absorb is the inaugural solo-artist show for Anacapa Architecture’s gallery, Front Space. Absorb investigates the emersion of artist into landscape and the pattern language which emerges from this integral connection. Join us for a discussion with the Bernard Trainor and collaboratiat 7pm.

Come see Feltrinelli Mirrors, a series of painted girandole mirrors by LA-based artist Scott Waterman. The series is named for Villa Feltrenelli, a majestic 1892 villa-turned-luxury-hotel in Lake Garda, Italy, which features one of Waterman’s painted girandoles in its grand dining room. Also on view is Follies, Waterman’s homage to the 18th-century tradition of building whimsical, purely decorative garden structures.

Presenting a visual and written account of time one Santa Barbara family spent living in East Germany. Moderated by Beau Lawrence featuring reading and discussion by Eric Friedman and Celeste McConnell-Barber. German Beer, Wine and 80s music to be served.
