1st Thursday is more than an art walk; it’s a monthly tradition that brings the spirit of Santa Barbara to life. From historic galleries to hidden courtyards, participating venues open their doors for a free evening of visual and performing arts.

Discover Gallery Josephine, Santa Barbara’s newest contemporary art gallery and artist studio. Meet artist and founder Josephine Tournier Ingram and explore her inaugural exhibition: a decade-long exploration of light, memory, and place through layered abstract paintings inspired by Santa Barbara and the luminosity of Paris.
The people’s choice local blues band. Morganfield Burnet is The band leader, frontman, lead vocalist and harmonica player. On drums is Santa Barbara’s own, Brad Wisham. Guitarist Howard Miller and bassist Gary Santino round out the rest of this powerhouse quartet. JELLYROLL (blues the way it was meant to be played).

Join us for a free and fun guided painting workshop with Creative Wellness Artist Khaatia Vantiger. For July, participants will be painting a piece featuring a Fire Horse presence emerging through a mountain-inspired landscape, introducing a stronger sense of motion and energy. RSVP encouraged.
Co-op gallery for members of the Santa Barbara Art Assoc. Our Artist of the Month is Odessa Burrow, a dedicated photographer and painter inspired by the coastline and mountain trails of Santa Barbara County. Other artists working in various mediums will be present to discuss their exhibits for July.
