Paseo Nuevo Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony 2025
Paseo Nuevo’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony returns on Sunday, November 30, 2025, bringing festive cheer and community spirit to downtown Santa Barbara. The celebration begins at 6:00 PM with lively music from DJ Darla, welcome remarks, and participation from the Mayor of Santa Barbara, leading up to the magical tree lighting at 6:30 PM. This year’s featured nonprofit, Make-A-Wish Central Coast, will be honored for its inspiring work granting wishes to local children, including a special appearance by a Make-A-Wish family and child speaker. Guests can also explore the Peppermint Parlor, where kids can write letters to Santa or to Make-A-Wish kids, donate to support future wishes, or sign up to volunteer.
The evening continues with the Mistletoe Market in De La Guerra Plaza, featuring snowfall, holiday characters like Santa, Mrs. Claus, Buddy the Elf, and the 805 Grinch, along with carolers, local vendors, and hot chocolate from Considered Coffee. The event marks the joyful kickoff of the holiday season, uniting the community in celebration, giving, and hope.
