Santa Barbara's Downtown Bookstore
The Book Den is one of California's oldest bookstores. Founded in Oakland in 1902, the store moved to its present location across from the Public Library and the Santa Barbara Museum of Art in 1933. The Book Den stocks some 25,000 volumes of both new and used books in a clean, well-organized store staffed by people who really know and love books.
