The Martin Luther King, Jr. Committee of Santa Barbara presents a weekend of events commemorating Dr. King the weekend preceding the National Holiday on January 15, 2018.

This year's theme is,

"Now is the time to make real the promises of Democracy" and FDR's Four Freedoms

Morning Program - De la Guerra Plaza - Between State and Anacapa Streets, on De La Guerra.
9:00 a.m. Music, dancers, speakers, t-shirts!
Unity March - 10:00 a.m. We will walk up State Street from De la Guerra Plaza to the Arlington Theatre.
Arlington Program - This year's speaker is Reverend Richard Lawrence who was with Dr. King in Chicago in
1966. There will be music, dance performances and the student winners of the 2018
Essay and Poetry Contest.
