WITW Presents: Women & the Wind Film Screening

Presented by Women In the Water & Sea League In Partnership with the Community Environmental Council (CEC)
Join us for an inspiring screening of Women & the Wind, a documentary following three women as they ignite flames of curiosity and adventure across the North Atlantic. Sailing aboard Mara Noka, a 50-year-old wooden catamaran, they embark on a journey to deepen their understanding of the synergy between nature and humanity while tracking the flow of plastic through our shared waters.
This evening is more than just a movie—it is a fundraiser dedicated to opening the doors of the ocean to everyone.
All proceeds from this event support Sea League’s "Big Blue Bridge" program. This initiative provides swim lesson scholarships for local youth, ensuring that financial barriers don't stand in the way of a child's right to be safe and confident in the water.
How Your Ticket Helps:
We believe in radical transparency for our community. After covering the essential cost of the film’s screening license:
- 100% of ticket sales go directly to the Big Blue Bridge scholarship fund.
- 100% of raffle proceeds go directly to the Big Blue Bridge scholarship fund.
By joining us, you aren't just watching a voyage—you’re helping a local child start their own.
