Una Noche de Las Posadas

The Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation invites you to join us for Una Noche de Las Posadas on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 7–9 PM at El Presidio de Santa Bárbara State Historic Park and Casa de la Guerra!

This cherished holiday celebration honors the Latin American tradition of Las Posadas, a reenactment of Mary and Joseph’s search for shelter. The evening includes a candlelit procession at 7 PM, beginning at the Presidio Chapel and continuing to Casa de la Guerra, accompanied by holiday songs in Spanish.

Before and after the procession, enjoy the Mujeres Makers Market, open from 5–9 PM at Casa de la Guerra, featuring a curated selection of vintage and handmade goods. Rudy’s Presidio Mexican Restaurant and Los Tarascos will also co-sponsor the event by providing food for attendees.

Schedule & Locations:
5–9 PM: Mujeres Makers Market at Casa de la Guerra
15 East De la Guerra Street
7 PM: Candlelit procession begins at the Presidio Chapel
123 East Canon Perdido Street
We hope you’ll join us for an evening that brings the community together to share food, music, and tradition in the spirit of Las Posadas!
