SOhO Music Club is thrilled to welcome The Slackers on Wednesday, December 10th—NYC’s legendary torchbearers of ska, reggae, soul, and rocksteady who have spent more than three decades redefining the sound of American roots music. Formed in Brooklyn in 1991 and hailed by The New York Times as “the sound of New York,” The Slackers fuse classic Jamaican rhythms with gritty soul, garage-rock swagger, and the unmistakable edge of Vic Ruggiero’s tough, conversational vocals. Their high-energy live shows have earned them one of the most devoted fanbases in modern ska.
