Step into a sacred and creative journey of crafting your own Medicine Drum with artist and ceremonial guide Niketa Canales. Rooted in ancestral traditions and intentional creation, this immersive workshop invites participants into a meaningful hands-on experience of working with natural materials, rhythm, sound, and spirit.

Throughout the gathering, participants will learn the traditional process of drum making while deepening their connection to creativity, intuition, and the healing power of sound. Each drum is crafted with care, prayer, and personal intention, becoming a unique reflection of its maker.

This experience is more than simply building an instrument — it is a ceremonial process of transformation, presence, and reconnection. Participants will be guided through the preparation and creation of their drum while exploring the cultural and spiritual significance of the drum as a sacred tool used across many traditions for prayer, meditation, healing, and song.

The workshop also includes elements of ritual, sound, and community connection, offering space for participants to slow down, create with intention, and reconnect with themselves in a grounded and inspiring environment.

No prior experience is necessary. All materials are provided. Participants will leave with their own handcrafted Medicine Drum, drum mallet, and a deeper connection to rhythm, creativity, and personal expression.
