In this two-hour workshop, Remixed exhibition artist Sabrina Gschwandtner will introduce quilting processes that can be used to interpret photographs. Participants will learn about the artist’s technique of combining photography with quilt-making, and how her work explores shifts between photographic realism and abstraction. Participants will then use museum postcards and brochures, or their own photos, to hand sew photo-based quilts using an iconic quilt design pattern.
