Brazilian Cultural Arts Center of Santa Barbara and Summer Solstice Parade Through Downtown with Mariano Silva

In celebration of the longest day of the year, the Brazilian Cultural Arts Center of Santa Barbara (BCACSB) is proud to announce its Summer Solstice Parade, a dazzling procession of rhythm, movement, and joy taking place on June 21st, 2025 in downtown Santa Barbara.
The parade will bring the streets alive with the sights and sounds of Brazil, featuring Afro-Brazilian drumming, samba dancers, capoeira performers, and elaborate costumes inspired by the rich cultural traditions of Brazil. The event welcomes participants of all ages.
Led by the heart-pounding rhythms of live Brazilian percussion, the procession will wind through the heart of downtown Santa Barbara inviting the community to dance, cheer, and celebrate in the spirit of unity, vitality, and cultural expression. Participants include students, local artists, musicians, and community members who have been rehearsing for weeks to prepare for this high-energy display.
Now in its 24th year participating in the city’s solstice celebration, BCACSB continues its mission to share and preserve cultural arts through year-round classes, workshops, and public performances. The Summer Solstice Parade is one of the center’s most anticipated events, highlighting its commitment to cultural celebration and community connection.
Those who register for the Solstice Carnaval with Mariano Silva will also have exclusive VIP access to the Solstice Carnaval After party where there will be live Brazilian music, Brazilian food and tropical drinks, and so much more! This will be held after the parade at the Alhecama Theater from 1-5pm. Space is limited, so get your tickets today!
