This summer, join our neighbors and community partners at the Santa Barbara County Courthouse Sunken Garden for a cherished local tradition. UCSB Arts & Lectures and the Santa Barbara County Office of Arts & Culture have announced the 2026 Free Summer Cinema lineup, “Mixtapes & Misfits.”

This seven-film series celebrates iconic music, big emotions, and unforgettable characters who don’t fit the mold. Pack a picnic and enjoy these classic favorites under the stars!

When: Friday nights at 8:30 PM, from July 10 through August 28, 2026 (Note: There will be no screening on Friday, August 7 due to Fiesta).

Guest Information & Policies
Seating: Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and low-backed, low-to-the-ground chairs.
Lawn Care: To respect and protect the historic Courthouse lawn, plastic, nylon, or tarp-style ground covers are strictly prohibited.
Setup Time: Audience members may begin setting up their spots starting at 12:00 PM (noon) on the day of each screening.
