New Downtown Safety Patrol initiated this week
DSBIA has partnered with Triumph Security to provide dedicated safety patrols throughout Downtown Santa Barbara. Working collaboratively with our staff and maintenance team, local businesses, the FARO homeless services resource center, and the Santa Barbara Police Department, the patrol team is helping foster a safer, more welcoming environment for businesses, residents, and visitors.
A primary focus of the program is supporting downtown businesses with concerns on private property and in areas adjacent to the public right-of-way. By working together, we can respond thoughtfully to concerns and strengthen safety throughout our district.
Pilot program hours are 7 days a week, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. We will evaluate the program and explore adjusted hours to address early morning and evening needs as it moves forward.
