Welcome to Savoy, voted best wine shop in Santa Barbara by the readers of the News Press, June 2018. We're just a half a block off of State Street, and operated by Bob Wesley and Paul Shields, two veterans of the local retail and restaurant scene.
Our aim is to taste relentlessly and with fervor, scouring the globe for amazing values as well as the best from our own backyard, and present them to you with an enticing adjectival barrage that seduces the palate long before sampling even begins.
At $10, or $100, or even $1000, we'll always direct you towards our absolute best...
The location is at 18 West Anapamu Street, a site previously held by Kernohan’s Toys and Crispin Leather, in a building that was constructed at the turn of the last century.
We work with myriad purveyors and offer the choicest selection of Santa Barbara County wines in the city, as well as provide an eclectic offering of imports, focusing on France, Italy and Spain.
Value will always be an integral part of our operation. “We’ll sneak in some Aussie, Greek and Macedonian wines as well,” notes Paul, who adds, “Bob and I both feel that selectivity, great value and honest advice are inherent to the business, and if you ever hear us using overtly flowery adjectives or attempting to up-sell, just scoff and holler at us!”
